Returns For Its Tenth Year!

On 17th – 19th August 2018 the Perth Lindy Jam is back! PLJ is three days of crazy fun dancing alongside fantastic workshop classes taught by world class teachers. Each year Swing It prides itself on inviting the best teachers in the world to come and teach at Perth Lindy Jam and this year is no different…

Perth Lindy Jam Teachers…

Who are your teachers this year?  Well I’m very excited to say that the teachers this year are the dynamic teaching couple Henric & Joanna from Sweden!!

This wonderful couple have been teaching and dancing around the world for years. Both are Boogie Woogie, Swedish Bugg and Lindy Hop Champions (way to be amazing guys!) and have been regular teachers at the Herrang Dance Camp in Sweden.

Given they’re Swedish it goes without saying that they’re incredibly friendly (they are) but they’re also fantastic teachers; whenever I see them teach I’m always amazed at the creativity of their moves and material. If one thing is certain, it’s that you’ll be coming away from this weekend with a LOT of cool moves.

World Class Instruction

You’ll be given the opportunity to spend two days learning from two of the best. 8 hours of dancing and learning in an intensive way that’s guaranteed to push your dancing to another level. Henric & Joanna’s classes will cover a range of topics to give you a taste of everything they have to offer.

A Social Dancing Smorgasbord 

Each night of PLJ you’ll be able to social dance it up with all of your friends and Henric & Joanna! Three nights of dancing featuring Perth’s best DJs plus the chance to dance with the weekend’s instructors.

There’s nothing quite like spending a whole weekend learning and dancing Lindy Hop. Not only does your dancing improve but you get to hang out with all of your Lindy friends and NERD OUT like crazy over this dance we all love. Lots of laughs, smiles and new friends.

Get warmed up for the big weekend by social dancing at the most happenin live gig in town. Dance to live music and dance with the big stars of the weekend. Our teachers are dying to dance with you!

Saturday Night  Dance – Swedish Garden Party

This year’s Perth Lindy Jam Saturday social is a celebration of all things Swedish…garden party style!

Don your finest garden party threads, get your fill of Swedish lollies and prepare to swing out to your hearts content to some of Perth’s best DJs. As always, there will be refreshments, comps with PRIZES and more FUN than you can shake a triple step at (with a splash of fake lawn for good measure). Good times!

It’s the perfect opportunity to social dance with our outrageously talented international guests Henric and Joanna Stillman. Also Swedish. (See what we did there?)

PASS INFORMATION

Perth Lindy Jam 2017 is an “open level” workshop and is available to all students Level 2 (or has completed more than 5 weeks of Level 1) and up.  This means you’ll be able to spend a whole weekend working with our guest teachers, eight whole hours of Henric & Joanna sharing their knowledge and love of Lindy Hop!

There are two passes available…

A Full Pass will give you:

• Eight hours of classes
• Free entry to ALL social dances
• A free PLJ shirt (if you sign up by 27th April) NOTE: The deadline for shirts has passed.

A Single Day Pass will give you:

• Four hours of classes on the day of your choice
• A free PLJ shirt (if you sign up by 27th April) NOTE: The deadline for shirts has passed.

Cash

If you would like to pay in cash for you pass you can do so at any of our class locations.  All you’ll need to do is fill out one of the registration forms, pay for your registration and you’re set!

Also, coming up with all of the money at once can be hard sometimes. If you like you can place a $50 deposit to secure a spot and then pay in instalments. If you do wish to pay in instalments, please make sure you have paid in full by 1st August.

If a Bank transfer is more your style you can simply transfer your money through to this account and email me (shane@swingit.com.au) once you’ve done it.  In the email, let me know the pass you’d like and, if signing up by 27th April, your shirt size:
